Last year BMW reported a nearly 4% growth in sales in 2010, their sales were bolstered by the launch of the BMW S 1000 RR superbike. The 1000 RR earned numerous awards from the U.S. media, including the Robb Report "Best Sportbike", Cycle World "Best Superbike for 2010" and the Motorcyclist magazine "Motorcycle of the Year" Award.
Don Schoo, owner of BMW Motorcycles of Riverside is setting sales records with the S 1000 RR and other popular core models in BMW’s lineup, including the R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure, and R 1200 RT. He also stated that the introduction of a new Boxer engine has help increase sales.
